Working in a national company and
working in an international company has its differences. For example, working
at MUDISA, which is a national company in El Salvador, is different from
working at CEVA, which is an international company. These two companies work
with other companies to export their products all over the world. Firstly, they
are very different places to work. People who work in MUDISA work under a lot
of pressure; their boss is always pushing them to work hard and to do extra
activities that are not part of their job. They have to work extra hours and
sometimes without receiving any money. Workers always have to work doing extra
activities that are not considered in their contracts. The salary is really low
and the extra hours are not paid. If you want to get some extra money, you have
to work doing another extra activity, but it’s not possible because your time
is very limited. On the other hand, CEVA is a company that offers a lot of
opportunities and advantages. A friend of mine who has worked in both places
told me that he had been part of that company for four years. He felt relaxed
when doing the required tasks. He didn’t have any pressure, and he didn’t have
to be doing extra activities besides his obligations. To sum up, these two
companies differ from each other.
